Privacy Policy

SwingInsight (“SwingInsight,” “we,” “us”) builds AI-assisted swing-analysis tools for coaches, athletes, and their families. This policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to swinginsight.ai and the SwingInsight application.

SwingInsight is operated by Swing Science Hitting Lab Inc., doing business as Swing Science Technologies, an Illinois corporation at 2425 W Lawrence Ave, Chicago, IL 60625. Swing Science Technologies is the data controller for the information described in this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information — name, email, and organization or facility details you provide at sign-up.
• Athlete profile information — an athlete’s name and sport-specific details (bats/throws, position, level, team) that you or your coach enter.
• Performance data you upload — session exports from third-party sensors (for example HitTrax, Blast Motion, K-Vest, Rapsodo, Diamond Kinetics, TrackMan) and the metrics within them.
• Video — swing video you upload, and the swing-motion and pose data our tools extract from that video to support analysis.
• Reports and plans — the analysis reports, drill recommendations, and training plans generated from your data, and progress you track over time.
• Communications — messages exchanged through coach-and-family messaging features, and messages you send us for support.
• Billing data — handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
• Diagnostic and log data — standard server logs (IP address, browser/user-agent, timestamps) and error telemetry, used to keep the product reliable and secure. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers.

How we use information

• To provide the service: generate reports and training plans, extract swing-motion data from video, track progress, and enable coach-and-family messaging.
• To process payments for paid plans.
• To secure the product, prevent abuse, provide support, and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it — or minors’ information — for behavioral advertising.

AI processing of your data

SwingInsight uses a third-party AI provider to analyze the performance data and report inputs you upload and generate your reports and training plans. This processing is done to deliver the service to you. Your data is not sold, and it is not used to serve advertising. Automated analysis can contain errors — reports are decision aids for a qualified coach, not a substitute for professional judgment (see our Terms of Service).

Video

If you upload video, we store it to provide the service and process it to extract swing-motion and pose data (the mechanics our analysis relies on). You can delete uploaded video from your account, or request deletion as described below. We do not use your video for advertising and do not sell it.

How we share information

Athlete data is visible to the athlete, their linked parent or guardian, and the coaches in their organization, as configured in the product. Beyond that, we share information only with the categories of service providers that make the product work, under confidentiality and data-processing obligations:

• An AI analysis provider — to analyze performance data and generate reports.
• Cloud hosting and storage providers — to run the application and store your files and video.
• A payment processor — to process payments. Card details go to the processor directly; we never store them.
• An email delivery provider — for transactional and account email.
• Error and performance monitoring providers — to keep the product reliable and secure.
• Law enforcement or regulators — when legally compelled by valid process, with notice to affected users where allowed.
• A successor entity — in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to the protections in this policy.

We provide the current list of the specific service providers we use to a user on request — email privacy@swinginsight.ai. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Children (COPPA)

A large share of the athletes analyzed on SwingInsight are minors, including children under 13. A minor’s information is collected and used only under an account created and controlled by a parent, guardian, or an authorized coaching organization. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child without that involvement, and we do not use children’s information for behavioral advertising or sell it. A parent or guardian may review, correct, export, or request deletion of their child’s information at any time. Facilities and coaching organizations using SwingInsight are responsible for obtaining the parental consents required by COPPA and equivalent laws for the athletes they enroll.

Your choices and rights

You (or, for an athlete under 18, their parent or guardian) can:

• Access, correct, or export your information from your account settings.
• Delete uploaded video, reports, or your account and its associated athlete data.
• Manage email and messaging notifications from your settings.

To make a request you cannot complete in-app, email privacy@swinginsight.ai from the address on file. We verify identity before acting and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically within 30–45 days). Depending on where you live (for example, California residents under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of your personal information; we honor these and do not sell your information.

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active. On a verified deletion request, or when you close your account, we delete athlete performance data, uploaded video, and generated reports within 30 days, except for information we are legally required to keep — for example, payment and transaction records retained for the period required by tax and accounting law (generally up to seven years). A verified parental deletion request for a minor cascades to that athlete’s performance data, video, and reports.

Security

We protect information using encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest for sensitive fields, logical isolation between customer tenants, least-privilege access for our team, and access and error monitoring. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify affected users and authorities as required by law.

Where data is processed

SwingInsight and its service providers process information in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date and, where required, communicated by email or in-app notice.
